Just went to La Estancia, hope I spelled it right, and it was wonderful. Met some people working there I use to know from El Nido, they jumped ship!

Also love Sussanh's(sorry for killing your name)located in El Nido Plaza and it was fabulous as always. I was told the new French Bistro is really good by the staff at La Estancia and my real estate agent.

Anyone have any other favorites, besides El Nido, and Los Pelicanos??????? Los Pelicanos manager is a jerk, and I have been going there for 20 years. I have now found other places to eat.......even tho' the Perez family our my friends, they need to check out the attitude of some of the folks they are hiring. The other night my steak was burned at El Nido, no excuse.

Would like to hear of some new places to go. Is Popotla still in business????? Use to go there, and Puerto Nuevo, and La Fonda.

Any suggestions are welcomed!!

I don't have an answer for you, but I want to add that if anyone knows any Thai or East Indian restaurants, I'd appreciate it. I love Mexican food, but I like alot of variety.

Thanks for all the info on insurance. You are right, I am very new to this. I usually fly into San Diego and take cabs everywhere, but this time I will be househunting and need the car. I would never have thought of most of that without your help, many thanks!

For my househunting trip to Baja in March, do you have any recommendations re: insurance for about 4 days? I see internet sites that say it can all be done online, is this legit or do we need an actual face to face?

In Topic: Dogs for sale to Taco Vendors?

Last Saturday, 157 dogs were discovered crowded into cages in a house in Tijuana. Three men were arrested in connection with the discovery and an investigation ensued to determine the purpose of the odorous collection. One of the strongest lines of inquiry is the possible sale of the animals to taco stands and fast food restaurants in Tijuana. Although no results of the investigation have yet been published, today’s Frontera reports that there have been 20 requests for adoption of the dogs by local residents.

Welcome Fran
There is a place just like that in Rosarito but forget the name. I think its called Rosies or something like that. Not sure if its still happening like it was years ago but heard very good reviews about the place.
I will find out the name and post it.
