Hi jonerich. I know what you mean about TJ being one of the favorite places in the world. After visiting TJ it just seems so boring where I am living.
Do you live in Tijuana? How long have you been in Tijuana? Teaching ESL would be a wonderful job. How difficult is it to find teaching English in Tijuana?

Thanks for your input George. It is reassuring that some people can make it on low incomes without having to live on the street or out of their cars.
I might just have to settle for a minimum wage job if nothing else comes up. My biggest fear is having to be homeless.

Thanks for the input Cyanide41. I use to work as a substitute teacher, but was laid off due to budget cuts. I have been going to school and earned a certificate in Accounting but I have not been able to find work.

Well since i live in Colonia Independencia, i recommend it for a safe area, clean, park nearby, markets, laundry, i am on a hill(great view), and close to taxi service if you don't want to drive. Mexico is a great place to find your true love/wife. Tijuana is a starting place. Tijuana is not the best city in Mexico to live the rest of your life. But it's a great first step.

Get a sentri card, for low wait time with or without a car for crossing the border for work and supplies.

I love it here, it's so much easier to live. Food, Rent, Utilities and so on. There are alot of pluses, one that sticks out here, in the 4 million people plus city is, there is no street/highway/freeway rage. Seems the people here don't get all upset over lousy driver antics.

Tip: Make people here in TJ earn their trust, BIG TIME!
