another good way to learn words is to label everyday things around your home (mirror, sink, toliet, toothbrush, forks, spoons, etc)with the Spanish equivilant and be sure to say them out loud. I found this very helpful when I was in college. Also, it helps to have a Spanish speaking friend you feel comfortable talking to that won't laugh when you make mistakes. Also, start by learning small phrases that are commonly used to build your confidence....children's books and workbooks are great too. Also, i agree with watching movies in English/Spanish with the opposite subtitles is great for learning! Good luck
Label everything is a good idea!
