The US had the opportunity to buy the whole Baja pennisula back in the 1800's???
Kinda' along with the Gadsen Purchase.... but an opportunity missed? But if that happened, it would not be a second world country with low rents, etc. that we all seem to enjoy now. Sh++ it could be Hollywierd South by now.

Like, what could possibly go wrong? Declaring the wrong war? Making Wall Street richer? Making the poor and older worse off? Making the schools worse by cutting funding? Etc.
Maybe they need a professional crier too; John Boehner comes to mind.

Yea, I love the Saints, especially Drew Brees.
And I like jazz and even funeral durges(sp?)
And I am sorry, really for has happened to New Orleans and vicinity but like you will never hear me say: "Martha, let's build a house on the hurricane prone coast 50 feet below sea level with no flood insurance"?
No, I do not tolerate stupidity well.
And the news says people are not coming back...DUH!
Yea, that area was great for the Arcadians seeking refuge and also for various pirates in the 18th and 19th century.

Confused again.....
BP million dollar ads say they will find Earl in the Gulf and clean it/him(?) all up.
BP Corp. Exec. say there is no Earl in the Gulf...
And don't get me started on drug companies that say in their ads warnings 'if your eye-balls fall out, you have profuse bleeding from your ears, your legs fall off or you commit suicide, stop taking their product immediately and call your doctor".
