Kitchen Cabinets, Closets, Carpenter and Carpentry Work, Wood Working, Custom Dining Table & Chairs, etc.
When I first moved to Tijuana I didn’t have enough kitchen cabinets so I increased my storage space by adding some custom kitchen cabinets. Since I was renting I didn’t want to spend a ton of money improving the place. What I found was a good price on something I rated as medium quality workmanship. (You get what you pay for.) Over the years I’ve been happy with my decision.
They were done by a place called Cocinas Economicas. The owner either lost his lease or sold the property as now there’s a mini plaza where his shop used to be.
I recently bumped into his new place under a different name. He speaks excellent English (drives a US truck, etc.). In addition to doing kitchens and closets it looks like his skills have increased as he showed me a custom dining table and chairs he (or somebody working for him) made. He is also willing to do some basic carpentry work, like installing a door threshold, etc.
He says he has contacts with people who will install the kitchen cabinets he builds in San Diego. Again, you get what you pay for and I think it’s a good value, although for more money you could get higher quality.
So if you’re looking for kitchen cabinets, custom closets, wood working, basic carpentry work, etc. you might contact this guy. He’s in and out of his shop so calling his cell phone is probably the easiest way of contacting him.
