Do you mean TJ Indian food or just Indian food in general?
You are entitled to your opinion however wrong it may be.
I love Indian food.

Indian food in general.
You are also entitled to your opinion but judging by the lack of Indian restaurants in the area I would say that most people in SD county and TJ don't care for Indian food either. If the food is so great then there would be a lot more Indian restaurants like there are for Chinese, Italian and Mexican food IMHO.

There are actually quite a few Indian restaurants in SD county, however due to many factors they are not as plentiful as the ones you mention. The main reason is it takes much longer to cook and prepare Indian foods than other types of cuisine, which is why Indian "fast food" is generally nonexistent.
I don't judge you for your opinion, but I do take opposition to your choice of words... Inedible and Horrible... I think the 1.1 billion people of India would also disagree with you.
You most likely have tried it once and have based your whole opinion on that one time, just like a lot of people.

I'm neutral to the whole indian food thing, I'll eat if it was offerend to me.. well there's not much I wouldn't eat but I don't go out of my way to get it nor do I ever crave it. But I will say one thing about indian food, bad indian food can gets you REAL sick. Also surprisingly, what comes out looks pretty much the same as what went in.

Ryu... you are in prime territory for excellent Indian Cuisine... NJ has a huge Indian population. I went to a training class in Rockaway one year and I befriended a fellow student who was Indian and from the area (Elizabeth to be exact)... the whole week I was there he took me to all of the Indian places in the area....

I was so excited to see 15 replies, thinking that I would have lots of leads, but instead I got a bunch of uneducated chitter about cooking over cow dung.
Indian food is very specialized and exquisit. If you have never tried it, find a nice sit down Indian restaraunt, order some Chicken Tikka Marsala, Garlic Nan, and rice, you can order it mild, hot, or extra hot. It is to die for. I would never go to a fast food Indian place, and I agree with whomever said they generally don't exist, because it takes time to prepare.
I had just heard that there are people from all over the world here in TJ, and assumed that meant Indians too, and wondered if any of them had started any restaraunts.
I guess the answer is no?

This is true there are a lot of indians around here. In the building where I live, there are more indians than other races. And I've been to a pretty famous one in Jersey City, it wasn't bad. But again, like i said, I'll eat it but am not a fan. TJDave, you want to changes, places. I'll live in San Diego and you can live in NJ? What do you say? Since we're in the same field, I'm sure we can learn each others job eventually.

I am nearly 100 percent certain that the only indian food place closed and that was located in Otay. I know some time ago there was or was going to be another one located in Plaza Pueblo Amigo but not sure if that got started or not.
