I *finally* started a album for TJ. Ok. I didn't really start taking pictures again til Jan 2008 after pretty much, not for 30 some years. I've started with Playas, and will add other areas as the mood strikes my fancy.

Here you go:
http://photos.travel4roadwarriors.com

The idea of "Lesser <cityname>" is a tribute to Emmett Watson. He was a columnist in the morning Seattle paper for decades. A bit of a humorist and satirist, his "blog" was Lesser Seattle. A common theme for him was:

Californian's. Come see Seattle. Better yet, don't.

My theme is to see things besides the big landmarks, yet again. Little things...
Enjoy.

These pictures are so nice. I love the one looking out to the ocean in the evening. Is this area flat. I mean are there alot of places on flat land? I want to move once I retire and I would love to be by the beach. I hate hills and and dirt roads. I am now where I am cause its close for me to get to the border to go to work.

Yes, it is a flat area with cobblestone streets where I live. It takes me about 20 minutes to get to the border from where I live. Some days a little more, others less based on traffic...

YMMV - Borrowed it from Chiquito...

Some days a little more.

Some days a lot more. I was in Playas de Tijuana for quite a few years. 7 miles to the border. Several miles closer than where you're at. Ten minutes under perfect conditions. 20~30 minutes was the average time during commuting hours. On too many occasions up to an hour.

My normal commute with the SENTRI lane was 25 minutes for the 7 miles south of the border, 25 minutes waiting in line, and 25 minutes for the 32 miles north of the border. Hour and 15 minutes.

As I now rarely go during the commuter times I am able to avoid that problem. When I was working on the other side it was about 35-45 minutes on average from the time I left my door until I was sitting in my office in Imperial Beach. That was crossing through Sentri...

Believe it or not there are some pretty decent rentals to be had with a nice ocean view right now...
