New Club in Zona Rio on Centarrio.


New Upscale club three levels all with different music....

I liked the place alot.

I know, but its crazy to get in and so far I've heard that's there's been 15 "levantones", (kidnappings). Not a good place to hang out if you look like you have $$$$.

I noticed it the other night while going to the Sentri line. It's in the building that used to be Capistrano restaurant. A couple blocks south of Señor Frogs on the same side of the street.

I think I saw this place yesterday like on the otherside of plaza rio/bridge freeway make a left, theres like a modern looking building on the left with some color lights, couldnt read the name tho.

They have quite a few advertisments and billboards up in centro about this place. I was ready to go until JDTJ ruined it for me.
When the new clubs open up they are the place to be for the first 2-3 months then get old until they reopen under a different name and theme. Zool seems to open up every 2 years with a different name and theme.

Read the guest book on their website. Someone mentions 25 kidnapped from there, 3 dead on the dance floor, and one dead in the bathroom. Probably pure lies. Most people who write there don't seem very impressed with the place.

I have been to this place, very nice inside. The people seem cool and mellow. I have felt more threatened in clubs on recolution st. (which I have not been to in many years) Paid the door guy $20 to let 3 of us in before 10 without a resvation which is still cheaper than $10 each and got a 1 litter Jack Daniels bottle service for $90 (which I must add is alot better than the $300 plus $60 tip state side price). It remined me of the club thres which on the negative side ended up closing because somone got shot inside

It appears this place is now history. Drove by last week and all the Zokalo signage is gone. They had a new name up starting with a D like Dubue.

Zokalo is closer to the Gov. building than it is to Pueblo Amigo. It could be maybe they are moving Dubai into the old Zokalo spot. But I don't remember exactly the name that was on the old Zokalo buidling so it could be a different disco/bar.

Just to confirm Dubai VIP is now in the old Zokalo building. Wednesday is ladies night.
