Here is a hot spot for Rap, Reggeaton and R&B

It is located on Revolucion and 3rd street and gets very busy on friday and saturday nights. Drinks are kinda high here but that can be said of all Revolucion. Mix of mostly teenagers from San diego, Orange county and Los Angeles. A few years back they filmed a Girls gone wild video series here so the action can get pretty hot.
Tijuana is much more than Revolution ave

I would never ever go this place again and DO NOT recommend it, sorry Milky. Drinks are over priced, the waiters WILL try to cheat you, oops sorry the DOORMAN will be first to try. The girls are a little wild but not much more than at some of the other clubs on Revu. And it's usually too crowded with some bad influences here. I personally almost got into a fight with this wannabe bad boy who was drunk and just loco. But that's another story. Anyways, stay away and go to Balak or Senior Frogs and you can have just as much fun.

I've been to Animale exactly once. Charged us $15 for 2 beers. Never went back.

My girlfriend used to love it here. Went there a few times and had fun - no scams. Crowd is ... how shall we say ... nevermind.

Definitely prefer Senor Frogs and other places as Ryu recommended. Not as much sagging pants and bling bling mentality going on.

I have to agree with Ronin and Ryu on this one...If you like drunk teenagers and people ripping you off this is the place for you....

Places like this and Mister E's cater to SoCals youth. Particullarly the hip hoppers.

Just more reasons to avoid that part of TJ in my ever be it so humble opinion. So many better places to go don't even know why people bother. All of the locals I know refer to that area as the "industrial" side of town...

I didn't even really like these joints when I was a teenager or in my 20's, the only reason I went was because I was invited, I took some of my crazy cousins, or I was in a desperate need for a drunken hooch who would put out on the spot (that would make me desperate too). I'm not saying that this is a hoochie hang out, but there's a tendency for these types at this place and other clubs on Revu. These joints are for the more scandalous crowd. I learned early about the tricks these JALADORES use to con unsuspecting tourists. That's why I always order at the bar, sometimes door guys get upset because they don't get their commission and they can't steal. Bottom line, people go there just to have fun and get smashed.

I was in this place a few times in 2008 and I hated it. Mostly filled with cholos/cholas from SD. It made zona norte bars look civilized ohmy.gif

Las Plugas or Plaza Fiesta much better in my opinion.

Is this place even open anymore? Bars around there are closing at the rapid rate.

^^ That's what i noticed. We usually don't go to La Revu anymore, but when we do, we noticed that alot of the places are dead. Don't know if they open only on certain days now or what's up? I rather go to the neighborhood clubs. Not so much the turist trap ones.

There are a few bars still open on Revo like Animale, El Torito, Las Plugas and a few gay bars.
