You can run around the house in your underwear, not brush your teeth, comb your hair or stress over a shower. TV all to yourself, no lifetime or oxygen channel. Have pizza and beer everyday. Leave your dirty dishes till you feel like picking them up. Look up porn on the internet. Life is good when the wifes away.

Not just when the wifes gone, as I do not have one, but it sounds like you have been peeking in my window cause this sounds like me!

oh so true, instead of waking up 2-3 hours earlier than needed. I give myself 15 minutes, to get to the border, and cross too. As fast as I can weave through the cars and my bike is narrow. It is loud too, so instead of blocking me, drivers usually try to make a hole for me to get by, instead of hearing my thUMPER...

I've been told that too... you can cut up until right behind the car at the stop sign, no problem... biggrin.gif

I need to get me a motorcylce.

Hey what about when you cross with a bicycle? You have to cross in the pedestrian lane right?

Yes they cut the bike lane out a few years ago so now you have to wait in line with the rest of the grunts. But i guess if you have your sentri then you cut to the front of line and go through the sentri ped lane which would not be bad.

I too want to get a motorcycle at some point.

i WAS JUST GOING to ask about that. If i could still get in the sentri lane even though i am on a bicycle. The reason is sometimes on saturdays, i need to cross to get to the bank or something quick. And it seams quicker to use my bike.

So that's cool. But still a motorcycle sounds better. But no funds at the moment to buy one.....

life became so much better when i got a bike... i now wake up at six, get ready for work, have a cup of coffee take off and be there early enough to change and start work at 730- with a commute to coronado. of course rainy days suck, which we had a whole bunch of this past year...
peace

The great benefit of a motorcycle (apart from being able to cross faster than SENTRI) is the security that everyday your commute will take the same amount of time. I kinda got used to waiting when I only had a car, but what really frustrated me was not knowing if it was going to take 20 minutes, an hour and 20 minutes or 2 hours and 20 minutes.

The obvious drawback is having to ride in poor weather... luckily we are usually blessed with perfect motorcycle weather in San Diego (present year excluded biggrin.gif ) I'm still cold in the morning and its the end of JULY!!! WTF??? angry.gif

For the 7 months or so of crossing via the Sentri Ped line I do not think I have seen a bike in the Sentri Ped line ahead of me but again I am crossing at 7:10am every morning. I have seen bikes in the reg. ped lines.

CB,

If you going to be alone you should roll up here and we can get a poker game together or something.

Let me know. You can finally see my place.
