TJ-Gringo
You have it all wrong ..........

I see no insults in this post so if this is extracted because of the decline of Freedom of Speach then I understand and will purse other avenues.

For an individual to offer advise on the subject of insurance to a inquiring party on this thread and not be licensed to do so is against the Laws of our bordering state(s) USA being the Country . Calif does enforce such laws. Yes, I realize this is a different world but individual(s) riding bikes , individuals actually believing they have 100% coverage can only harm those searching for answers to their insurance delima.

There is very little accuracy to anything mentioned by your " Comrades " who have no experience in insurance whatever side of the border it might pertain to. People tune into this insurance thread for sound advise from experienced fellow Countrymen and , as naive' as it is , trust in the ridiculas testimony(s) of
your Comrades . Friends that have something to say about everthing , yet know nothing about ( instance ) insurance will ask " mommie " end this ; I ride a bike ..

Pathetic......

TJ , you have thrown the gauntlet down , I have picked it up ! What is next on this thread for you..... censorship on this post yet there is " no name calling " in your blind eye but you are Newly Appointed Jefe Could care less from a whipper-snapper . ( that is intendend to be an insult ) have a lot more if you wish to indulge me .

All is recorded and easily retrievable. Test me ....

Mike, I think and strongly recommend that you get rid of TJGringo as a moderator. Seems to me he does not comprehend posts well and censors what he wants.

A post of mine from yesterday pointing out he was wrong on this matter still has not posted; guess he did not like it. Two other posts of mine never posted from back in October either.

Hi Rich Clear out your inbox I've been trying to send you a message for a while now but it won't go through. I needed help with moving posts around and He said he would help. I sent him a message already. I've contacted another member and hopefully he will help out and won't hold grudges against anyone.

If the thread is censored it won't be nearly as entertaining to read. I need a way to pass the time and this has brought me many chuckles laugh.gif

Thank you for your action. As you know, I have supported this blog for years and do not want to see it deteriorate as I believe it recently has. I think the blogger who asked why traffic on the Blog was down really did hit on something. The two posts I made back in October or so on his subject never did post because I blamed the low traffic on posts having to go thru moderators consuming time and even being squelched.

I really think the moderator thing can be done away with. People will disagree over many things; no big deal, as long as they are civil. The idea of deleting posts you don't comprehend or don't like is anathema(sp?) to me; they can be deleted if vulgar, etc.

Finero was trying to educate people about insurance from his vast experience; so what if he did it in a 'bull in a china shop' fashion? I am sure I have stepped on a few dainty toes with my brutal honesty. TJGringo didn't comprehend finero's helping nor did he comprehend a post of mine relating an experience here in Tijuana; he just decided I was a Mexicano hater.

Will clean up my inbox, Sir!

Good to hear from you and glad the Blog is back in good hands. When are we going to the Swiss Cellar again?

No problem Rich and I agree with C-lo it is very entertaining to have all sides of the spectrum.

Rich there has been very little to no moderation on this board. To date only 3 people have been banned. I reset your account for whatever reason your posts have been delayed in the mod que. You should see your posts right away now.

Thanks again! Being sent to the "mod que" sure sounds like censorship.... Mind telling me which mod sent me there? I can guess tho... and for a while there I perused the thought that maybe I p***ed you off but that didn't dwell long as I know you to be a very good and upfront person.

3 banned? I only know about two, LOL.

I'll buy all the margaritas you want anyway...

Take care and glad to see you back in control of the Blog.

No one sent you there, remember the upgrade we did last year? A few members never got their account upgraded to advance members. Regular new members are automatically put in mod que for spam prevention.

I just purchased an annual policy from sanborns. I have a 97 car in good shape 97K miles and it costs $315. I would never drive in TJ without insurance. Sanborns has a office/store right in San Ysidro. The two things I looked at was that I could get my car fixed in the US and they provided attorney to assist me out of jail if I somewho ended up there. I do not plan on driving much in TJ but I am willing to pay the money for the protection.

If you want reliable coverage choose Bajabound, I've used them for 5 years and the only accident I was involved in they took care of it and I had no problems.

GC - Hope this answers your " Both sides question "

Many newbies to Baja/Mexico rely on individual(s) posting on this Blog's Insurance thread. Financial Responsibility is all that matters ; NO MORE .

I have spent many years in Casuality Insurance and have long been nausiated by testimonials of " full coverage " in any Country ; muchless Baja, MX.
a area that I have operated a vehicle in freely for 12 years and have garaged three autos in over the past 3 years.

" gringo " has no concept of insurance as he has never posted anything related to insurnace constructive and his post are destructive in my opinion .
Yet, he is in to Censorship , one must assume to make him important

My past post were deleted by (little) gringo under the Authority of Moderator ; please post them . All where sent in good intent but censored by
this little man under authority of moderator/

Whenever you have something to add on this subject Finero feel free to post it. I can't bring back deleted posts unless I knew the exact time you posted those responses then did a backup reinstall but then I would lose all the posts since that day.
If it's not too much trouble feel free to repost them.

Again I like to hear about insurance issues down here both good and bad.

Thank you George , I will tune in to " this thread " on a regular basis to see if I can offer anything that may be helpfull to a inquiring post(er).
That is what this blog was intended to be , I think

Insurance inquiries have always been important to me as that is/was my profession. When a searching individual takes time to post a concern hoping for experienced responses and gets the Wiley Coyote , " I bought my ACME rocket jet at my hairdresser " it comes from an individual that knows nothing on the subject of insurance in California ( FR ) or Financial Responsibility in Baja, MX.. Further more , (opinion ) they are an accident waiting to happen.

Many past posts on this thread appear as advertising on where a individual may buy insurance and would suspect a kick back is in order .
Don't know why anyone would even look for auto insurance from a coffee shop or travel agent but then if I want auto parts I buy at the auto parts store. I have nothing to sell , there is no desire to collect any dinero / dollars from anything I post . My intent would be to pass on valuable 1st hand information to
my Countrymen. There are no games in the matter of driving or owning a vehicle in California or Baja , MX. it is serious chit and should not be reduced to
( WTF ) , I need to be entertained . Did someone actually put that in print

Happy Holidays
