RE: Colonia Buena Vista.. I noticed down the street from us that several streets have been newly paved and renamed as well as the duo colonial addresses. I know TJ is upgrading for the good and wellfare so I will have to be quite vigilant for the "new" surprises and changes just to keep up with things

I'm not sure what you are saying about Buena Vista. About any address in Tijuana is doubled as they re-assigned them and quite a few places show both the old and new. But what is labeled as "Colonia Buena Vista" on the satellite photo above is actually Lopez, Lopez Oeste or Anahuac. Go North across the river and west to the main intersection shown and that is the center of Buena Vista.

La Buena Vista RULES!! that's where I'm originally from,,I spoke to my mom about my Place and she just told me..her house was stolen after we left and then they moved all the remaining houses to a new location..wahh I will never know where I came from. But I have great memories. Life was fun as a kid in TJ.

Ok....I got the pic in Imageshack and the info but how do i get it on the reply board? just how duh am I? thanks in advance[/img]
First, I'd recommend clicking previewing your post before clicking "submit".
If it doesn't appear pretty much the way you want it in the preview (with the photo or whatever), then don't submit it.

Also, it helps to open another browser tab or window for multi-tasking or easier viewing of say .... Ronin's post in "quote" -- just to see how he's doing it.
(I inserted the yellow smiley into one of the image instructions below to prevent the image from appearing)

Try right clicking (or the opposite if you're left handed) on the quote button for this post and then select open in another window or tab.
Then go to which ever one and look at the results in the "Post a reply" section.
Then try to edit out just the smiley part of it. Then preview it to see the photo.
(====== Kind of like what Ronin did with the asterick in his example, right ? ======)

I just figured out how to use the panoramic setting on my camera. Does your have that setting ronin? You should find a hill with a nice view and try a panoramic shot.

Nah ... but making panoramic is easy enough especially with a wide angle lens. Just use a tripod and take photos of overlapping angles. Then seem them together in photoshop. Heck you could make a full 360 view with probably as few as 3 shots with a fish eye lens.

The distortion would be very high the smaller the focal length (ie: fisheye) making things look so far away the panorama loses detail. I did a 20 shot 360 degree in the plaza at the Vatican but missed one section. DAMN! Not like I can run back over and get the shot. I did another 4x3 shot of San Marcos church in Venice but the change of angle for the top parts just made it look weird.

Good point Chiquito ... curious, do you stick to 55mm when doing panoramics then? That sucks about the Vatican shot!

I try to stick to normal, it's not 55 on most digital but the equivalent. Another tip is to exposure lock on an average point in the the panorama and not use auto exposure.
