RED FLAGS ???
Anyone heard of freedom of speech ???
I don't recall Choi posting anything specific about anyone ....
He is trying to get a feel of the board and revealing a bit of himself and personality.
Isn't that what we want ???
He is full of valueable information if you just give him a chance.
I too am very opinionated and let it known on other sites where I have been banned as well for a time.
Does that mean that someone should watch over me too ????
I understand you being a bit gunshy Mungo but choi NEVER came after you or posted anything negative.
Your issues with Beachie are and should stay between the two of you.
Should you decide to update us that woud be well recieved but leaving the board because you don't understand the postings of a NEW member is overkill IMHO.
Are you unwilling to give Choi the same chance everyone gave you when the Beachie issue came up ????
No one was requesting Red Flags for you due to the comments that were made about you by another member.
It seems to me that you are pre-judging someone that you know nothing about....
Best of luck to you Mungo

guys and gals..

this is a message board...a place where people post opinions, comments, suggestions, and ideas..

you guys take this stuff too seriously.. a member requesting that another member be monitored..give me a break.

we are not 5 year olds..we are all adults and every time someone upsets someone else, we should not dial 911. In any "community" there are people that don't get along and never will. It is getting the community to coexist and work together that is the challenge and the reward at the same time.

This site is lightweight compared to what I have seen on other sites. While I am all for suspending and asking people to tone it down when they have really crossed over the line, to come down on people before they even got close to the line is just silly.

Lets be honest here...two adults acted like kids on this site and while one may have went way further than the other, both were wrong. Posting about someone not cleaning up after their dog, or that you helped someone out with money, or that you are hated because of your windchimes, or informing authorities about a car with improper tags, or what medicines they are taking, and getting an attorney involved over something petty is all stuff that while interesting to read, had no place on this board.

As a result, I am sure that the owner of this site has had to waste a ton of hours resolving and moderating a dispute that he shouldn't have been involved in in the first place.

I compare this to the arguement about CD's with parental advisory stickers on them. Some wanna be parents complain to the government and ask them to do more to stop their kids from purchasing these cd's. I would argue that if you as a parent did your proper job in raising your kids, some foreign entity wouldn't have to do it for you. Rules and regulations serve as guidelines in establishing the environment a community wants to operate in. However, they aren't really meant to be enforced unless under extreme circumstances. There is an assumed amount of common sense, maturity, and respect for self and others that is supposed to reign..not people moderating others.

Now...can we leave the past in the past and move on. If you want to leave a board, then leave..but I personally don't need a disseration explaining why you are leaving..it just comes off as the spoiled kid crying cuz he didn't get his way.

Your personal problems are your personal problems and they should be left off this board..if you can't do that cuz you are in the middle of dealign with them, then it probably is best you take a break.

Choi is choi..i've known him for a few years now. Some people enjoy his clever use of word play and his sarcastic comments..some people may be offended by them. But, he is being himself which is all you can ever ask of someone especially with all the fakeness that usually accompanies an online persona. If he was given half a chance, you'd find out he knows a ton about tijuana and baja california.

Anyways, i'm done with my rant. I've just sat on the sideliens and watched this garbage play out long enough. It was fun for a minute, but after more than an episode or two it becomes just as unbearble as a spanish novella to watch.

Hey on another note I ended up in a federal prison as a result of someone on this board. Oh well it happens you know I can't blame the board for my own misjudgement or the other people involved. Shit happens and we move on. We can't blame the board or cast judgements on someone else because we get a bad feeling. Ugh otherwise we might as well crawl in a hole and die.

I would hazard a guess that you ended up in federal prison as a result of some crime you committed. If someone here really has enough clout to put you there otherwise, I want to meet them.

Chiquito,
It was just a misjudgement in putting myself in the wrong situation. I met a guy on this board and moved in and a few weeks later bingo I'm headed to La Mesa Federal Prison smile.gif joy joy.

I think it could have been worse. I've read some horrible things about La Mesa luckily I didnt have to experience most of that crap.

well the ordeal lasted 10 days i think La Mesa was 5ish. The whole food water and isolationism made me lose track of exactly how long i was in Hell, I mean la mesa.

A relative of my wife was sent there last year. He said that he survived the experience with cash payments to guards made by family at the gate once a week for the 3 months he was there...

nice site..lol

no one warned you about this guy or was every thing done with PM s..

When I saw the postings of twatman on here offering rooms for rent, I placed a warning message telling everyone that he was involved in shady businesses..that his wife was in the adult entertainment business and that he owed 30k on a back water bill at his property...What people do with that information is up to them. When you tell renters to beware and they still rent, what can you do? I did my job..
