Here is the WebSite... this BICE BISTRO is international and I looks like they're opening one up in San Diego.

I was just talking to another co-worker about it recently. Since I speak Italian, I said it right and he knew that location in Chicago. I told him, "No, it's in Tijuana."

We drove past that one on Paseo de los Heroes and he said the logo is identical. We never went inside that one, but now I regret it.

This Bice place smells of being a rip-off. Just intuition. No history; just ads.

Go to old establislished places that have a reputation for quality. One thing I could not ever understand was that in San Diego, people would FLOCK to new places before they proved themselselves. It took years to make a reputation in NY and Chgo.

It's all about marketing.

McDonald's grew so fast because it's a franchise.

In-N-Out grew so fast because they have the best burgers, and it's NOT a franchise.

Bice - if it's a franchise, then it's probably crap. If it's owned by one person and is not a franchise, has to be good.

I hate this place bad service crappy food WAY over priced......can't say enough bad things about this place....it does have a cool look and nice view but thats it....

Like I said, go to places where Mom and Pa might be in the kitchen or have been in the neighborhood for ten years; forget the ads and hype.

Got pretzels; new conquest is milk poached eggs on toast... might take a bit longer...

But then, I could make them myself..........????

Open a restaurant in TJ for pretzels and poached eggs??? Real Bratwurst (no Hillshire Farms crap!)?
