Here is the link to dirt cheap real estate in North Dakota.

This list ranges from 10,500 to 85,000 dollars.

This is usefull information if you know anybody here that would like to live in the US legally with an investor´s visa and has the means to purchase these properties. A lot of the business people escaping the violence are purchasing houses in San Diego to get this visa. :shock:

North Dakota endures temperature extremes characteristic of its continental climate; with cold winters and hot summers, the record high and low span 181 °F (83 °C). Meteorological events include rain, snow, hail, blizzards, polar fronts, tornadoes, thunderstorms, and high-velocity straight-line winds. Depending on location, average annual precipitation ranges from 14 in (35.6 cm) to 22 in (55.9 cm).

Springtime flooding is a relatively common event in the Red River Valley, due to the river flowing north into Canada. The spring melt and the eventual runoff typically begins earlier in the southern part of the valley than in the northern part. The most destructive flooding in eastern North Dakota occurred in 1997, which caused extensive damage to Grand Forks.

The climate yes can be a downside. I lived in Alaska for a year, and it took some getting used to. However, after the first month of the winter, I was coping rather well. If you dress for it, its not that bad.

You wouldn´t have to move there to own it. The mortgage payments on some of those houses (that include sizeable yards!) are around 60 bucks a month. Think of it as a way of building up net worth through fixed assets. This can be useful for those who can´t afford to buy a place in San Diego.

I have a lot of family in the upper midwest, and I can say that its not as bad as some people make it out to be.

Many people in the US would think that we are nuts for living in Tijuana.

As with anything....some people like a certain lifestyle other people hate it.


The main point of the posting was to provide an option for those interested in helping somebody immigrate to the US legally. This wouldn´t work for everybody, but its an option.

Actually the person soliciting the investor´s visa wouldn´t have to actually live in North Dakota.


Now for those who don´t like weather extremes but are interested in cheap property......

I can find some houses in the Missouri Ozarks....near vacation areas for about 20,000-50,000 dollars. Thats another zone for considering a purchase for an investor´s visa.
