There is a very good japanese restaurant in the mini mall next to la torre de fundadores. Take a red colectivo up madero and ask to be let off at LA TORRE. From there walk across the street into the mini mall. I forgot the name of it but I've eaten there several times. It's off the beaten path so only locals would know it. The place looks and feels like any overpriced sushi place in the states but for a much lower cost.
They not only specialize in sushi but many cooked japanese dishes as well. You can even sit on the floor and eat in a traditional style...not my thing with low back issues!

Good to know Buena Onda! Thanks! Yeah, sitting tatami style takes some getting used to, I like the private Tatami Rooms that some places have with the Rice paper doors.
