I live in TJ, so i can comment on TJ only. TJ is very dangerous. I've been robbed many times. I was setup for a kidnap. Now i am very street smart, and i thought i was already. After all i have expeirenced i still love the wild west Mexico. Guess i like adventure.

Can you elaborate on being robbed? Where were you and what where you doing, what time of day? My hubby has been there for a month and LOVES it so far. I will be there in a month and still feeling a little nervous. I guess I feel different because I am not Mexican but rather light skinned with red hair so I may stick out a little more. We got a place in Colonia Agua Caliente. It has a bit of an American feel and felt safer than some of the other places we looked.

I tried to elaborate, but i feel, i guess im ashamed. So i deleted of what happened. One was...thought he was a friend. And the other was when i was away, my apartment was emptied. A total $5,000. Now i don't trust anyone. 95% of the people here will not pay back your good intention loan. So now, sorry can't help ya. And i've heard all kinds of made up stories.
Tj is what it is, a survival town. I have no hard feelings. Love Mexico and the people, but TJ is the worst town. When the economy picks up, im going south.
