Of course Skype isn't really "free". At some point it will become a monopolistic monster to grumble about.

In fact, I'm grumbling right now that I can't turn off or block my Caller ID from being sent out on selected calls.
Does anybody know if there is a trick to this ? unsure.gif

The only way around this I see is to have a separate account with a SkypeOUT activated.
Not totally convenient though.

if you log on the the skype website using your username and password there is a section where you can either enter a number you want displayed or leave it blank and it will just show up 120002123313 random numbers hope this helps

After talking to lots of folks down here with Magic Jack it seems like the only ones who are really happy with it are the ones with better bandwidth. Skype seems to do well under less than optimum conditions which makes it probably a better bet overall.

Thanks jonerich. I found the tab to click which was appropriately called of all things, "Caller ID". smile.gif Hope it will work. unsure.gif
