For any of the 'doubting Thomases' reading this topic, every fact from Sarakanne is the truth. The Caruso stalker is slithering about in TJ. She's a cross between a viper boa, squeezing the life from any perceived enemy, and a chameleon, changeable with the wind when necessary.
While we often joke about this criminal lurking about your city, she is "profoundly disturbed" and a threat to anyone opposing her.
Sources close to this story are reporting concerns on the part of law enforcement who fear that Schnitzer may be close to crossing the border into the US:

You hit the nail on the head. An Austrian court-appointed psychiatrist diagnosed Schnitzer with "severe personality disorder" with the potential of becoming dangerous. Sadly, for David Carsuso and the other two people who have been threatened, Schnitzer makes the late Margaret Ray [David Letterman's stalker] look like a school girl. CBS has reportedly increased security on the CSI Miami set out of fears for Caruso's safety.
Here's the link for the Associated Press' article that ran when Schnitzer fled in April:

What? Are you saying that you hope Schnitzer is successful in hunting down Caruso and two others? Surely I have misunderstood. True, David Caruso is not everyone's cup of tea. Like him or not, that shouldn't make him, his daughter and his former companion targets of a mentally unbalanced woman's threats.

Actually, it would get pretty boring if we all agreed. Differences make for lively conversation
And I don't plan to leave as long as you'll have me

Austrian Judge, Gunther Bohler, issued a warrant for Heidi Schnitzer's immediate arrest when she fled Austria in April, 2008. If anyone sees this woman, who never leaves home without her laptop and may be in Rosarito, Tecate, Ensenada or Tijuana, please e-mail Judge Bohler at:

Heidi Schnitzer remains a fugitive hiding out in Mexico near Tijuana, Ensenada and Rosarito. Schnitzer is armed and considered to be extremely dangerous. Please do not attempt to apprehend this woman. Contact the U.S. Border Patrol at 1-800-232-5378 , the FBI or Austria's Bundeskriminalamt at +43-(0)1-531 26-0.

The Associated Press is reporting that Austria's Judge Guenther Boehler issued an international warrant for Heidemarie Schnitzer's arrest. The previous warrant was limited in scope as it was valid only in the EU. This new warrant can be executed by any nation. Austrian authorities now suspect what we have known for months: Schnitzer is at large in Mexico's Baja area.

Not to mention how this Horatio love-to-hate critter could be a great ploy for some right-wing politician to meet his nefarious objective.
Imagine the global repercussions. Can't you just see the headlines now ?
"Bush-McSame camp pulls off another October Surprise". Eeeeak !
"Obamasama Hussein victory routed"
due to public confusion/fear/disorder of rising new evildoer (or some whatever boogy-goochy man).
Gee wiz, I - I - I think I'm too scared to vote now. But not unless (of course), it's for Mr. Hero Policeman.
Oh, but I digress . . .. .

The article is short. I just says Heidemarie Schnitzer is 42 years old and was arrested at 11:30pm in La Mesa for an Interpol warrant .

TIJUANA, Mexico — Mexican officials have detained an Austrian woman accused of stalking "CSI: Miami" star David Caruso.
Austrian prosecutors say the woman sent the American actor more than 100 letters, pursued him for an autograph and then sent death threats when he refused to give her one.
She was charged with stalking and threatening to kill Caruso, but failed to show up for court in 2007 and was believed to be on the run.
Tijuana police said Friday they detained the woman with the help of a blog titled The Stalker Chronicles, dedicated to the woman's arrest. She was turned over to immigration officials late Thursday and will likely be deported.
Caruso plays Miami police Lt. Horatio Caine on the crime drama series on U.S. network CBS.
