I can't stand all these hollywood remakes
From Psycho to Willy Wonka and the Horror movie remakes I can't stand them.
I'll watch the original flicks over the new ones anytime.
Anyone else feel the same way ?

The Dracula or vampire remakes have been good; I'm a vampire & horror movie connisseur. I really like Bram Stoker's Dracula (Gary Oldham) was almost as good as the original B. Lugosi. Also like all the remakes of Frankenstein as well esp. the one with Robert De Niro and M. Brooks Young Frankenstein.

FYI..."Van Helsing" was on Telemundo couple of night ago and it was really good!

People are too scared to come up with an original movie in Hollywood these days. Seems to me all the best movies are foreign or lower budget flicks that actually have a plot.

Down with remakes!! Although, I do kinda want to see True Grit since I have been wanting the Coen brothers to make one for years.

I think both ideas are strong
one is in favor of remakes and the others not.
i think original movie has its own charm even with the old actors playing but we have to compromise on the quality of that movie which may never be in great position , i may be wrong
So , if the same movie is remade in fresh voice , image quality then it may get a good impact .

May be or may not be .

bye
