Thank you.
Bohunks lived/live mainly in the western part of the Czech Republic, which you already know, part of my sector during my Army vacation (Lawd, lawdy, lawdy, Miss Clawdy!*, see, the Army does do some things right; told them I didn't like rice paddies???) in Bayern, a few Kms away. Bavaria is not very much different than Bohemia; gute bier est gute bier, yah?. You know what “honey wagons” are?
Don't mean to scare you, but we may be related..... seems a few years back the Boii tribes (you) forced the Celtic tribes (me) out of the region; feel bad now?. Then the other tribes (i.e. the Goths, Franks, etc.) forced the Celts into the sea...(well, to Scotland and Ireland anyway... thank gawd we have haggis....? some bagpipes are ok, St. Patrick's Day is a good excuse... but let us not forget Keats, Burns, Carnegie, Farragut, Sheridan, etc.).
Now, explain Gypsies, Romany, Romania.... Saw gypsies in Germany, yes, in those round top wagons in encampments, ; sorry now that I did not stop to talk. Kinda' afraid then I would walk out totally naked or something, without my jeep, clothes, 45, wallet... ? But I think both Bohemians and Gypsies got a bad rap throughout history.
USAEUR/VII Corps used/hired many assimilated forces (aka: disposed persons, mainly from eastern European countries) in Germany; even saw them at West Point when I was in high school. I have TOTAL respect for them; they saved my ass crossing the Rhein and Danau and their 10 ton bridge trucks, bridges, pontoons, etc. and knowledge were immaculate. Btw, you are conversing with the only person to bridge both the Rhine and Danube as Bridge Commander that ever existed; well that I know of, anyway. Gen. Patton wasn't a Bridge Commander. Is my humility showing??? (Granted: mine was 23 years after WWII and as training and no ME109s weren't straffing and..., but hey...!)
And no, never been inside the Bohemia Club in Chgo, and I whistle pass all grave-yards. Thanks for the family info but I can't keep up with my own; I got researchers on all sides of my family.
Ugh! Cicero Ave. to Midway! Bad as 435/436? to Orlando airport. Think Big Al Scar-face filled Cicero with eye-talians; guess he displaced some tribes too... Went by his mansion once.. didn't bother to stop to say “HI”. Like, he was dead, already!
Can you say “lingerie and weenies” here? Sounds, like well... er...
I will stop now as maybe I am rambling; it is good to find intelligent life on this planet...
Want me to start on AZ law and Goldman Sachs, Bear Sterns? And Republicans??? That A..H... Boehner??? A George Hamilton wanna-be??? And Hollywierd East (which includes Sarah Palin)?
*My favorite Elvis song from his early (better, imho) years.
