7th and Madero
Downtown
Tijuana isn't where I go when I'm craving steak, but when I'm in TJ and want a steak this is one of the few places I'll go. It's not that the steak isn't good--it's good--it is just that it isn't Ruth's Chriss or Mortons.

Their empanadas are made from scratch and same with the pastas.
Recommend the stuffed chicken breast.

Ryu, there are very very few places that will get teh correct doneness on a steak in Mexico...I'm actually trying to thinkn of one place where I asked for my medium rare and got what I was hoping for...Maybe Manhattan was the place that comes to mind....

As a meat and potatoes guy, I heard of Pampas as excellent. It's around the block behind the Z-gas place which is on los Heroes, so that would be Tobada Sabato or something like that. I understand it is like the Argentine restaurant in the San Diego Gaslamp, Rei do Gato with a set price and a tumbler thing you turn for more meat.
I have not been there yet but will be soon and will write of it. Has anyone been there??? Opinions? Recomendations?
Also heard from local neighbor of mine of a butcher shop on 6th and Constitution that has filet mignon for like $30 USD a kilo??? Hard to believe personally but will check that out too in the next week or so.

Been to Rei do Gato a few times for $35 or so per person. So $18 sounds good, real good even if close. I am hoping for too much???
Concerning Milky's visits to D' Tony's: It was empty both visits??? I used to eat where ever the truckers were lined up.
But the $31 for two sounds good too.
Am I going to have to go to both and stuff my self?
