So as many of you know, my wife went on vacation with the baby. I had to stay to keep working, but will catch up with her in about 3 weeks. After i dropped them off at the air-port in TJ, I made my way back home. Thinking, cool the house is going to be quiet, i'll catch some many needed Z's.

But to my surprise, with all the quietness, and the baby not climbing all over me, the house felt cold and i did not like the feeling. I don't know if it's because we have only been married for 4 years, and this is our first baby, but this kida sux. My wife has gone on vacation without me before, but we did not have a child.

What are your guys'/girl's reactions when this happens? it's just weird.

Not sure what to say. I live alone. I work with with people in an office setting all day. I enjoy my alone time when I am back at my casa. No one telling me what to do, crying, asking for money etc. I actually really like kids and would like to have one or two some day but I guess I need to find a wife first When I hear about my friends who are married and divorced and how much money they are paying out etc. I think to myself that is not too bad being single. If I get bored on the weekends I hit the bars and movies etc to pass my time.

When my husband was living and MX and me in Ohio for a year it was very lonely. I sent my son to live with him for 4 months and it was awful! I hated seeing couples and families out and about and would just about breakdown everytime we talked on webcam. My son was 3 at the time and it was hard for all of us. I worked an extra job to stay busy and went out a lot with my girlfriends. I didn't miss my freedom as much as I thought I had Anyway, it was like vacation at first and then it was just plain lonely. I hope you find something to keep you occupied...

I also have to admit that I love solitude and personal time, space and freedom. That being said I do cherish family time and when I am alone for any real period of time I do miss my loved ones and the chaos. Sometimes when I am by myself and the novelty of sleeping massive hours and doing whatever I want whenever I want, and not making complete dinners and making them on time I will get lonely and crave human touch. With Todays technology and video phones, the computer etc it is alot easier for me to adjust to my own company when others aren't around. I like simple things sometimes, eating a snack or someting unconventional or unique that only I like as my Dinner at midnight, catching up on my reading or Vegging in front of the T.V.! I love the T.V. and the computer. Love reading too.
Use this opportunity to relax and be comfortable with your own company, and they will be home before you know it!

I think that it is very SWEET that you miss them!

Get a dog. I have been married for 33 years and lets just say there's not much to talk about anymore. Thank god for the dogs, I can mess with them, take them to the park, beach, etc.

^^^lol, yea we would get a dog, but we have no yard...TJ and their houses with no yards WTF. We only have a balcony, and a small patio where the washer is located. And the kind of dog i like will not fit in either area. And i don't like Chihuahuas....

I hear you amigo... my wife just went on vacation last week and will be gone for another 2... I'm in the same boat as you, except I won't be able to join her at all this time due to my work...

It's only me and her, no kids... but I've been pretty miserable. I thought I could catch up on sleep too, but the reverse has happened, I haven't been able to sleep at all hardly... maybe 3 hours a night...

I'm trying to keep myself busy, so the time goes quicker...

i might check out some restaurants that i have not been to here in TJ this weekend. Or go ply pool at the pool hall over by Mercado Hidalgo.....i guess it is in the same parking lot as Negro Duraso?

Yes, a sudden break with loved ones, even if just temporary, can result in an emotional void and melancholy. The best thing to do is just keep busy with other things you enjoy when not working during the separation.

My girl goes away once a year I use it as a mini vacation myself. Sometimes it is good to share some time apart. I normally watch some movies or hang out with friends. Her sister invites me over to eat as well so that is like a second family to spend time with.

Plastic grips, you lay down, and do sets of pushh ups with... I also play, wrestle, draw, and watch youTube with my son. Read, trial and error on website design,what a learning curve... make food, between me and a 4 year old, we can eat a lot. Oh and practice Chinese...

Yeah HK70 now that i look back i remeber it was $8 bucks for their drinks....

Yeah i agree time apart is good. I actually got to detail my car like i wanted to, because with the baby....you know how the interior gets. Right now i am working on a grandfather clock. I am taking it apart, going to re-gols plate the chimes, and chains, re-varnish the wood, and get it all set up.

I also go to my Cun~andas house for feeding time.....Cuz if it was up to me, it would be carne asada everyday...or something on the grill.....

I went to Northgate market just so I could here Spanish being spoken yesterday... I felt right at home... I still miss my wife though. We've been able to do video chat at night so that makes it a little easier.
