I haven't had the chance to read everything posted today but lets all have one big group hug and apologize to Dreambrother for ruining his nice thread

I think the new software will help out tremendously when it is transfered over. There will be ignore user buttons and buddy lists and all kinds of fun features.

I've had a lot of PMs about the recent bickers back and forth and hopefully we can come to an agreement on how to handle it on a consistent basis.

I blame myself for not posting a set of rules for this site as I and others thought we could handle the issues together and police ourselves.

Again please accept my apologies and I assure you to all old and new members we will work together to make this a fun place to relax and enjoy Baja discussion in a friendly atmosphere.

I quickly wrote this thread as you guys are working into my Seinfeld time

ignol feature really do not work

if a another member uses a quote function, it defeats it

this forum has very low post counts and when a members starts use this function , it will be like only 2-6 people posting...

i just recommand that members post freely while not calling other members uncalled names because you do not agree with them or send PMs to admin, he really do not need your problem become his problem..

remember people, different strocks for different forks, thats what makes internet entertaining and informative.

I think it is wonderful if the new software will let me permamently ignore some members. I already make my list. What is too funny to me is that some of you men on here are too sensitive. Someone asked a serious question looking to find out more about art, music and the cultural community in Tijuana. Some of you think it is okay to degrade an entire community of people who have worked there complete life to advance that community with comments like:

"Arts and Music in Tijuana? Isn't that an Oxymoron?"

"There is plenty of tagging around town..."

"If culture is CECUT and street tacos, money laundrying operations fronted as nice resturants, John Milton the hypotist, mariachi's, watching dubbed IMAX films, tequila and whistles and donkeys painted like zebras....then your right I don't know true culture..."

"At least the donkeys arn't in the bars anymore. Or are they?"

"How about nacho libra wrestling around TJ"

"There ae mariachi's at TFI Friday's now? I take back everything I said about tijuana having no culture...."

Maybe you think these comments are funny but to those who call Tijuana home, live and work in the art community these comments are very offensive. Then you get upset when someone confronts you and you go wah wah wah to the moderator because somebody hurt your feelings. Quit acting like spoiled little boys! If you are going to post offensive remarks against an entire community you should be able to take some of the same retoric back at you. You can't have it just one way. I am just a little latina barely over 5 feet tall but I think I must have more thick skin and **** than some of you guys here that go crying for somebody to save you from this mean little latina woman. I am proud of my city and its culture and wont just stand by to let some of you make such mean comments when you obviosly know too little about my city.

what your problem with someone having a different view of curture and calling these members uncalled names.

Let's see... if I remember correctly... you are a Mexican woman, married to a Mexican man, native of Tijuana, and both of you have managed to get US Citizenship and lives in Colorado, USA. Is that correct? I don't think that is real easy to do, so you both must have really wanted to do it and worked hard to get it. Welcome to the USA!

Actually Mr. Bluejeans, the university did the work to get our citizenship. We did not "work very hard" to do it. It was not our intention to have citizenship but where my husband work thinks it is important so we did it. My children were born here and are US citizens and Mexican citizens. Nothing you said changes what I feel. I remain a very proud latina woman and proud of my city and my country. We will be returning to live in Tijuana this summer when the school year terminates. It is funny, I did what Bajagringo said and I look at your profile and all of the posts you make on tijuanablog. He is very right. Almost all of your posts on all of the different subjects are directed at one thing. To make fun of Tijuana and our people. My family has had to endure many difficult moments in our years here and much of that reason is because of people who think like you do. They have talked down to us where we go to eat, speak behind our backs with degrading comments but loud enough so they sure we can hear them, paint the word "wetbacks" on my husband car, call my son a "stupid mexican" and much more. I will not miss any of that when we move back home. The united states is a rich and powerful country but it is also a country with much hate and intolerance. There are many good things about united states that I like but there are many things that we hate about here too. However when I talk about this country to friends that isn't what I go and tell everybody. But since you can only see the bad in Mexico I will just keep telling everybody here the bad about the united states. I have read all of your posts and see how you always get very mad when people say bad things about your country so I know you will be mad that I write this too and probably will get all mad like you always do.

Now you will know how I feel.

PS Everybody should look at Mr, bluejeans profile and read all of the different posts he write all over the place. You will see that he only wants to say bad things about Tijuana, Mexico and Mexicans. You must be a very lonely and grumpy old man to have so much hate inside you. I feel sorry for you.

i don't understand though how it devolved into what it did. and now the thread is locked????? wow...what a shame that now we can't share ideas.

my point of the thread was simply to find out where the art/music scene was, since not only do i play guitar and sing but i like museums, etc as well. and not only do like rock music but i wanted to know if and where there was a jazz scene or classical scene etc. and what kind of art is displayed in the museums. what films are being shown in the IMAX screen.

i feel that it got to this point...
