We'll be upgrading in March to new software and we will be joining up with some other websites as well. We're starting to get more traffic from google as well and looking for some help.
We're looking for 3-4 contributors that would like to help in different areas. Feel free to send me a message for more details. I will give more details later on
Thanks smile.gif

Update
We need help in cleaning up different sections, some still have spam and posts that don't belong in that particular area.

Special Forum helpers
We're expect a lot more users and posts in special sections such as the Club sections and places to eat forums. We can use help when things start to get busier and these SPH-ers will keep the forums free from clutter and if something is posted in the wrong are can move it to the appropriate section smile.gif

Current Events section.
This is an area in which we lack. I've had several emails from people asking to update these sections. If anyone is interested in helping in this area let me know. It would just consist of putting new events in Tijuana and Rosarito, Ensenada in the current event section and making a thread so people can discuss these events.

I've currently met with two great contributors here in the past few weeks that want to make this forum grown and have expressed interest in helping out smile.gif
Thanks to everyone that reads and enjoys the site!

This is a great blog and I know that you have worked very hard to bring it up to where it is now. We hit the century mark for users online - next goal is 200!!!

Congratulations on a successful site - I know how much work it takes to make it happen...

I think that despite some of our occasional differences of opinions, this is an excellent place for Baja transplants to get information that helps them become acclimated to living here and it also helps inform visitors. Everything from information on entertainment, dining, where to pay bills, how to obtain services of any kind, where to rent…etc, can be obtained at this sight. Bloggers are respectful, courteous, and informative which is why I stick around. Also, there is a sense of community. I am not sure who started this blog or why, but I am sure glad that they did.

Congrats on the upgrade.
¡Que viva Tijuanablog!

I have a person assisting me with the calendar of events section in our online marketing. I can bring a lot of that along when appropriate...

I agree with Miggiesmallz and Baja 100 percent. I'm not a big contributor like them but I would be glad to help. I'll send you a message today or tomorrow.

One thing I would change or update is the registration. It took me 5 or 6 tries before I was able to register.
I love TJ!

Most all popular board script have conversions to convert from other popular boards. It's not that difficult to do.

How about larger avatars? I tried to upload one today and it was too big.
Will this upgrade include a photo gallery?
Why not try a few sponsors to cover the costs of the bandwith?>

Not sure I will be putting ads in the forums. They may remain ad free. We're getting a lot more traffic but not having photos and videos helps keep the cost down. Good idea on the avatar resizing. I've been meaning to change that for a while.

That's not LOL at all, that is actually a good idea considering what the forum is about and who it is geared towards.

However, one thing I get annoyed with is TJ is SOOO VERY inundated with advertisements.

One of the sections that won't be upgraded nor moved will be the games section. A lot of members do like this free feature and we will have a new gaming area for your boredom.

I'm serious, I just looked for it and couldn't find it, still can't.

edit: I switched to english and now I see it. The menu item doesn't show up in spanish which is how I have always been logged in.
