I have been reading about all these great places to eat. I am sick of tacos and mexican food in general. Thats all my mother in law can cook. I am down here in Otay Mesa 3 days a week and I do try and cook. Can anyone tell me a good place for steak!! I need some directions cause I am not real good at just driving around here. I live off Diaz Ordaz and just wanted to know if anyone has found somewhere around here. Also what kind of store is Ley? Thanks

BEEF, BEEF, BEEF.... Dont know much places for BEEF in TJ as I just moved down, But you can get some at the APPLEBEES at the MacroPlaza next to the WalMart on Blvd Insurgentes. LEY is a grocery store, I dont like it much, I rather go to a CALIMAX.

La Fogata is on Paseo de los Heroes across the street from the big "ball"...

You could also try Taurino in centro... I think it's on 6th

Pampas is another good place for "meat"... it's on Sanchez Toabada right hand side as you are headed toward Sam's Club

PAMPAS is awesome. I actually had to roll out of there with all I ate. I put the card on red and they would still slam meat on my plate. I thought for a while that they got paid by the amount of times they went to the kitchen for a refill.

The restaurant is located across the street from plaza carrousel in la mesa. Plaza carrousel is West of the 5 y 10 about 1/2 to 1 mile.

WalMart is on Bvld Insurgentes (MACROPLAZA). from OTAY, you can come down the same route you would take to get to "La Central Camionera", SORIANA. You would go straight as if you were going to 5Y10, but before the intersection of 5Y10, you need to veer to the right (you will see a GRAIGER store on the right as you veer right. take it all the way, that is BLVD Insurgentes. You will see WALMART about 5 minutes from there. They are also going to be building a WALMART next to Caliente race track. That is why you see all the construction there.

Ok I think I can find it. But can you tell me what the 5Y10 is?. And are you talking about going north like to the border? Or the other way, sorry but mexico really confuses me. Once I find something then I can find it again. I will check my map.

5y10 is a commercial intersection (VERY BUSY). and I think it would be going South away from the border. TJ confuses me too.

5 y 10 (Cinco y Diez) is the intersection of Diaz Ordaz and Lazaro Cardenas in La Mesa. Southeast of the San Ysidro garita.
