The Good Tijuana Moments

Your washing machine breaks down and 3 blocks from your house you find someone to fix it for 25 bucks or sometimes less depending on the problem.
Wake up for work or class......a car drives by..."Tamales...Champurrado...Tamales de Res...rajas con queso...piña"
The neighbors tell you who are the trouble makers...
Compare that to San Diego ...Mc Donalds...fusion restaurant..sometimes at a distance.
Washing machine repair....most people just throw it out over en el otro
lado.
Okay...have at it everyone...post your positive Tijuana moments.

Warner Bros. complained recently that someone at the Mexican Copyright Office was leaking movies and scripts to the black market. LOL It is amazing how quickly the copies make their way from DF to the market stalls of teenagers in Tijuana that sell the movies.

Wait to we get the website up and running. I am working on the backframe now. I hope to have the skeleton up by July sometime!
Let's see good tijuana moments for this week? No wait at the border this week so far for me. I found 20 Pesos
and there is a new Irish Pub across from Plaza Rio!

Then I got home and was unloading the car and suddenly there is this loudpeaker with a guy announcing something over and over again. Having grown up in the Cold War period, and having to hear the siren tested once each day at noon, and here comes this car with a man announcing something I couldn't understand, I could only figure at that time that Bush had decided to bomb Baja and this man was going through the neighborhoods warning everyone. I ran out into the street and fortunately my across the street neighbor was bilingual and told me he was selling tamales, etc.
Then came the fish...I had a fish pond at the house I was renting and didn't know there was a difference between live swimming fish and caught cooked fish so I was talking to the same neighbor who had a fountain in front of her house and said she should put some pescado in the water...
then the moment of truth came and my daughter and I were in Blockbuster and she wanted to rent "Big Fish." I figured I would impress her and walked up to the counter and asked if they had "Pescado Grande.".....

You´ve got that one right, Chiquito but moving to TJ made post-divorce easier. I´m not worth a two and a half hour wait on a Sunday for the ex to cross the border with our 16yo. So, she gets to ride Amtrak to Irvine, and he keeps his nose out of my private life. (Is he paying Mungo Bungo instead to substitute her nose for his???? LOLOL...actually we are doing well in our relationship nowadays...only cost him $500,000 in attorneys fees and thank the Goddess I do family law...)
Liberty, I wait for those 25% off coupons from Borders Books and by my DVD´s there or should I say, I get my Andre Rieu fix with the 25% off coupons from Borders? Heck, a middle aged gringa can lust right? Especially when he looks like ... well ... andrerieu.com.
Yes, Ryu, and the reasons I came back. Heard you were in a committed relationship. She´s lucky.
Was that the day when the prostitutes marched to City Hall and threatened to strip on the steps if the Mayor didn´t listen to them?

If that happened under the Hank administration, he would have enjoyed his "Tiger Penis Clamato" while watching.

Haha I remember stumbling out of a restaurant by Sanborns on Revolucion drunk of my ass after the Mexico / Argentina game and trying to find my way to Plaza Rio to meet up with my girlfriend. I caught a glimpse of the centuro cultural ball and just followed that.
